Stadia Development

Our planning and environmental team advises a range of private and public sector clients involved in stadia, sports complexes, hotels, golf courses and leisure centres on existing or greenfield sites.  Advice covers the following areas:

  • planning applications and appeals

  • the conduct of planning and similar local inquiries

  • negotiation of planning applications and negotiation, drafting of planning and highway agreements

  • advising on highway law and practice

  • advising on issues relating to contaminated land

  • drafting and negotiating provisions in commercial agreements relating to potential environmental liability

An example of a recent project is the proposed David Lloyd leisure facility to be built at Oxford where FFW have advised in connection with the planning application, negotiated the planning agreement with the Oxford City Council involving a community access package and green travel plan, leading to the grant of planning permission for the development.
