Matthew advises on all aspects of professional regulatory work.  In addition to his particular experience in prosecuting disciplinary cases before regulatory bodies, he advises on consequent appeals by way of judicial review and to the Privy Council.

Matthew has recently been instructed by the Rugby Football Union to prosecute before its disciplinary panel most notably in respect of the case brought against the Chief Executive of Leicester Tigers, Peter Wheeler.

A recent RFU Competitions Appeal Judgment described Matthew Lohn as "a specialist on regulatory and administrative issues affecting and enacted by governing bodies and regulatory authorities."

Being a qualified doctor as well as a lawyer Matthew regularly advises on the consequences of positive drug testing in sport.
